Ingot seeks metronome
pallor. A greedy double
does not measure up for
disaffected rust. A handful
of stars tumble through an ocean
of not, bleeding vanilla
yogurt. Take the name of that bird
& hide it away; gastropod
fixative for votive
tree. A flash beside
the pot-bellied stove like a furnace
on fire, a blanket of
corduroy, foul-tempered smock
smoked in action. Murder
junipers & cello tuber
motifs. Everything is made
of wood, and eveything must be
made to look a good three
years younger.

OZONES B3
{END OF LINE}
Tomorrow we go from poets to workers, cruel rains call forth the staunch flowers, and soon we can all wear white shoes (proletariat included).
May 1 I am going to take down everything but the Mechanical Beast poems to perhaps revise a little & publish elsewhere, so take one last look at them if you are so inclined, or else look for them later elsewhere maybe.
I think I may keep writing and posting the Beasts because they amuse me. Though likely not at the breakneck one-a-day pace as this past month.
I didn't miss a day this year, though! Another month older and deeper in debt...

DANCHEL
Crystal mints & transistors,
what was made to travel
over yeast & milk. The grandeur
of warm snow. Currency of
rubies, a fistfull of sour
cherries rushing toward
the end of the day. Parallel
grooves of a toaster
in a pawnshop, antenna
extends from the AM
headphones, the PM headphones,
this is Antebellum gargoyle
fodder, or a tube of prosaic
openings that excretes
its own little prize. Say all
this is nostalgia, at the end
of the day, no symbol
for said money, no fat, dumb
& happy this time, only
a whale with a glass tooth,
a basket with no fruit in it.

on the sticky shuffleboard
pregnant with sand, a hassock
of tinier than always
briars. A varicose leaf-form in
the capital growth, a
flagship in-between innings,
favorited calcium
choppers. This is the end of
the plum stripes and
the mustard gasoline
for a burly lemon. Take
the fog for a walk & find a ragdoll
buried under a bridge that
fell.

Into the evasive table
basilisk. Expect
egregious. Tentatively a shark
breathing blue breath at
landmines. A wraith dipping
translucent fingers
into wet transparencies,
a paramecium spectrum. Hot for
Mitochondria Eve, a dollop
on the transom for
super deformed Elijah.
A trap for spinning tops yields
oranges not tangerines. A fetching
spiral like an amphora figure
or the snout of a cootie.
Glossy plastic, new, old,
a trellis where potted are eight brain
flowers for the age where you
get what you want, when you want it.
Like a pillow
with a stem.

NAtional POetry WRIting MOnth
Here we go. We'll see how far in I make it. At the end of the month, anything that's good I'll delete and use for other things, anything that isn't good, I'll leave up because I have no shame.
